Existing Salesforce Analysis Project Overview
Phase 1: Business Process & Goals Review
We will begin by meeting with the key decision makers, department heads, and those most knowledgeable about the processes you are currently following within your existing Salesforce system. The purpose of this meeting is to learn about your current business processes and goals in better utilizing Salesforce. We will also gather details on previously identified bugs, potential issues with future development, and user complaints about the current Salesforce configuration or processes. Gathering these requirements typically takes between 1 and 4 hours, in one or more sessions, and can be conducted remotely or in-person.
Phase 2: Customizations & Code Review
During this phase, our team will analyze and document all customizations to your Salesforce data structure, any custom code that has been previously implemented, and attempt to reproduce any bugs or issues that have been reported. We will work independently during this phase and will provide regular status updates and request deliverables as needed. We will not make any changes to your Salesforce customizations during this phase. The primary goal is to familiarize ourselves with your current setup—from a technical standpoint—and identify areas of improvement, either to your processes or configuration.
Phase 3: Conclusions & Recommendations
Once we have spent time reviewing your processes and goals with your team and analyzing your current Salesforce configuration, we will prepare a Solution Specifications document, detailing our findings and recommended next steps. This may include a combination of proposed changes to your processes and/or customizations, training, custom code development, or use of Third-Party Apps*. We will also include estimates for fixing any bugs found in custom code that was implemented by another party. You may use this document for comparison with estimates and recommendations received from other Salesforce consultants, before deciding whether or not to move forward with our proposed changes.
