What is Force.com?

What is an API?
An Application Program Interface (API) is a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications. An API specifies how software components should interact. Salesforce's Web Services API, available in Enterprise Editions and higher, allows you to connect external systems to Salesforce to exchange information and synchronize data. How do I know which Salesforce Edition I have?
Your Salesforce Edition should be visible by hovering over the title tag in your Salesforce browser tab with your mouse cursor. You can also click on Your Name -> Setup -> Administration Setup from within your Salesforce.
What is the difference between Salesforce Classic and the new Lightning Experience?
Lightning Experience is the new, modern user interface designed to help your sales reps sell faster and smarter. Lightning Experience includes many new features and redesigned responsive pages. Not every Salesforce feature is supported yet in Lightning Experience. The legacy Salesforce experience you may be familiar with, now known as Salesforce Classic, is still available and the users you enable for Lightning Experience can easily switch back and forth.
my organization already has an in-house salesforce administrator. why would i need additional outside salesforce consulting services?

Our Small Business Consulting services provide direct access to bothKrystal Solutions Founders for hands-on coaching and strategizing. Our founders will function as your personal power duo, lending their enterprise-level expertise to refine every aspect of your business. Our Salesforce Consulting Services clients will receive the same level of personal attention from our founders, who personally conduct all client intakes, business process reviews, and oversee all projects—though many administrative and development tasks will be delegated to other members of our team during implementation.
are you able to come on-site to my business or are all services conducted remotely?
We will come on-site to your business as often as is desired, though we do encourage working remotely (via phone, email, or video conferencing) whenever possible, in the interest of being efficient with our time and your money. Development and implemenation work is exclusively conducted on a remote basis. We do charge half-time for travel plus any incurred travel expenses for any on-premise support and training.
do you serve businesses outside the new york metro area?
Absolutely! The beauty of Salesforce is the ability to work remotely and be mobile. Most of the work we do can be done remotely and independently. Most meetings, support, and training can be effectively conducted via phone, email, or video conferencing. We are willing to travel outside the New York metro area to your business if needed, but we do charge half-time for travel plus any incurred travel expenses.
